This board is vital to becoming a member of our lovely community :] Inside you will find the canon list and application. Please consider a canon before making an original, but feel free to create your original character! Remember to post your application in the 'pending applications' board.

Once your application has been accepted, it'll be moved into the correct sub-board. Feel free to make changes but any major ones must be run past Mia first.

Once you've been accepted, you must claim everything you need inside this board. This includes face claim, Quidditch, Prefects etc. You may reserve face claims for up to five days.

If you have any idea for a sub-plot, or wish to join one, look in here! Sub-plots make sites fun, so please do not hesitate before creating your own. Canons and originals can participate in sub-plots.

Times are a changing, and even though those pretty plot pages with lyrics are still being used, they're less common. Post your plot pages in here!

The plot ads seem to be replacing those plot pages nowadays. Post in here to just plot relationships with other members of the site. Also, you can request certain characters that you may need to be taken.

Thread trackers are incredibly useful if you're in a lot of threads and finding it hard to keep track of all of them.

The Halloween Ball is officially open! The Great Hall has been decorated appropriately, as has the rest of the castle. Now grab your partner, dress up and start dancing!

The Dungeons are generally the Slytherin's domain, and they let everyone know this. Down in the sub-levels you'll find the Slytherin and Hufflepuff Common Rooms, Potions classroom and the kitchens.

The ground floor contains the more important areas of Hogwarts. This includes the Entrance Hall, Great Hall, Staff Room, Caretaker's Office, Classroom Eleven and a small chamber.

The first floor of Hogwarts contains the Muggle Studies, Defence Against the Dark Arts and History of Magic Classrooms.

The second floor is empty and quiet, except for the wails of Moaning Myrtle coming from her bathroom.

The third floor contains the Trophy Room, Charms Classroom, a secret passageway and the Hospital Wing. As you can imagine this corridor is busy after Quidditch matches.

The fourth floor contains a bathroom, the library and the hidden Mirror of Erised Room.

The fifth floor is almost as empty as the second one - with only the Boys Bathroom and Prefects Bathroom.

The sixth floor is full of classrooms: the Transfiguration, Ancient Runes and Arithmancy classrooms are all here.

The seventh floor is the Gryffindor's domain, holding their Common Room, the Room of Requirement and the Divination classroom.

There are many towers in Hogwarts, but the main ones are the Ravenclaw Tower, Astronomy Tower, Headmaster's Office and the Owlery.

The grounds are home to Care of Magical Creatures, the Greenhouses (Herbology), the Forbidden Forest, Whomping Willow, the Black Lake, the lawns and the Quidditch Pitch.

Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain. According to tradition it was founded over a thousand years ago, around the same time as Hogwarts, by Hengist of Woodcroft as he was fleeing persecution by Muggles. It's a picturesque little village of thatched cottages and shops, with enchanted candles hanging in the trees during the holidays.

Tapping just the right brick in the wall behind the Leaky Cauldron in London ("Three up...two across...") will reveal an archway which is a portal into Diagon Alley, a long cobbled street where is to be found a strange and exciting assortment of shops and restaurants. It is unquestionably the hub of commerce in the British wizarding world, with virtually every wizarding business stationed there. Consequently, the demand for space here is steep, and rent costs "loads of Galleons."

Just around the corner from Diagon Alley lies a dark, twisting alleyway devoted to the Dark Arts: Knockturn Alley. It's a place where many children are not allowed in, and with good reason; not only are the wares sold their a bit dodgy, but the wizards hanging around behave fairly suspiciously as well. From the shops and the street vendors one can purchase, among other things, shrunken heads, poisonous candles, human-looking fingernails, and Flesh-Eating Slug Repellent.

The headquarters of the Ministry of Magic is located in the heart of London. The actual structure is all underground, although magical windows show whatever weather Magical Maintenance has chosen for the day, from bright sunshine to hurricanes.

Homes of the wizarding families of England range from small apartments to huge manor houses.
