H E Y mister!? W H E R E you headed! ?! ------------------------------------------------------------- Long. And painful. Two words that could PERFECTLY well describe Noras day. what was up wiht the teachers, putting all the class she disliked in the same day?! Potions (EW! she couldn't memorize stuff even if her life depended on it. UNLESS, it was about quidditch. THEN, hell, he brain seemed to start working by magic!), Transfiguration (No. Just, no. Please. It was far too... Demanding for her. She couldn't concentrate... Unless,, once again, it was about quidditch.) and damned astronomy (why had she even been taking that class, she had no idea. Peer pressure, she would guess... Or, MUM pressure!). So, after those classes, she had been SO GLAD to be let free to roam the school! HELL, maybe she'd even get to go out on the fields, call a last minute pratice with the team, or just play a friendly game with people...
But as she was trotting happily to the gryffindors common room... She had realised something. Her walk slowed down, her smile left her face. She had homeworks to do. ALOT of homework to do. One, charms. Easy. She loved that class. And it wasn't all that hard or long, thanks, Professor Weasley! Two, on the bad side, POTIONS. And it would be long and... Guh. so instead of getitng her broom and quidditch gear from the dorms, she had taken a roll of parchment and LOTS of ink back downstairs with her. People had laughed at her desperate face, and had mentioned something about her looking 'as if she was walking to her death', and she had shot them all a glare.
She knew there was ABSOLUTLY NO WAY she would be able to even concentrate on her essays if she stayed in the common room, for people were chatting happily. So she had decided the library was the good solution! She walked down the long halls, passing by people, some greeting her, some glaring. The glares came from students from the other houses... Slytherin, mostly. She would grin at them, waving happily like a dork, when that happened. Oh, the joy of being the gryffindors quidditch team seeker and captain. Well, they could kiss her bumm bumm, her team was going to be winning the cup this year. WHAT, with her being captain, there was NO WAY they would get lower then FIRST PLACE.
She smirked at her own thought, walking into the silent library. She walked passed some table, people sitting at them, chewing on their bottom lip or grumbling darkly. As she got to a free one, she took a seat, dropping her stuff on the table, and starring blankly ahead of her. Her thick potion book was to her left, and her charms one ot her right. She didn't know where to begin... The boring or the easy one?! The hard, or the relax?! She let her eyes edge towards the potion book, and she opened it to the page where she kenw she would be taking information from for her essay. Parchment unrolled, quil dipped into black ink in hand, she started to think... but only random words came ot her mind. Elixir, cauldron, BORING to name a few.
As if it had a mind of it's own, Noras hand started to move slowly, drawing various shapes on the corner of her parchment. She was still starring at her book, her eyes kind of lazy and out of it... And her drawings started to come to life. She let her eyes wander to the paper as she realised she had been drawing, only to let a soft groan escape her throat. FIGURES. three Loops, a little wee person on a broom, and a ball heading the persons way. She wished, at that exact same moment, she was able to think about stuff other than Quidditch... But who was she kidding?! Even her father whoe spoke Non stop about the sport thought she was annoying at times! * ------------------------------------------------------------- TAG OPEN WORD COUNT 6 5 3 LYRICS Hitchin' A Ride by Green Day. -- jayden theodore pierre The library was his home. Literally. The only ever time he left his humble domain was to eat and occasionally sleep, yet other than that he refused to set foot outside its doors. Maybe that was why Jayden Theodore Pierre had been labelled as the bookworm out of all the teachers (he could of sworn he'd overheard some student girls called Mia and Marie calling him a sexy librarian at one point) but he didn't really give a damn. Since his parents deaths, Jay had become more of a recluse and fallen back onto his extensive library to distract himself. So far it was working perfectly: he spent most of his waking hours absorbed in his books, and chasing those annoying girls out of the library. Without realizing it, Jay had managed to create a fan club of teenage girls who spent hours in the library studying him instead of their books. Like the humble Hufflepuff he was, Jayden hadn't noticed his appeal to them, thus he couldn't work out why there always seemed to be so many giggling girls in his library. Jayden had taken it upon himself to remove those that used their time in the library to make unnecessary noise.
It had been a busy day: countless students had been in and out, returning and taking out books. Jayden remembered himself acting the same at the start of the year, with the homework beginning to pile up and struggling to keep on top of it. He felt a small shred of pity for the students - after all, that had been him three years previously - but if his books were returned in a dreadful condition he no longer felt form of sympathy. He'd spent most of his day cataloguing books, a tall stack levitating behind him as he put them all back into their correct places. Apart from the incident of catching a first year trying to sneak into the Restricted Section (why couldn't they understand the meaning of that name?!) his day had been rather monotonous and repeating. He didn't mind all too much - the walking was good exercise, even if he was using magic to move the books.
Lessons had finished for the day, and the noise of students moving from class to class had finally dispersed. There were already a few student studying in the library, and Jayden smiled politely at all those he passed. As long as they didn't damage his books he would also remember his manners. The levitating stack of books that followed Jay everywhere was starting to get smaller, signifying that he was reaching the end of the library. Passing into the next section, he hummed gently as he waved his wand, the books placing themselves in the correct positions on the shelves. It was only when he turned around that he spotted a girl sitting by herself at a table. Jayden smiled brightly at her, and his eyes found the doodle on her otherwise empty bit of parchment. He laughed gently as he recognized the Quidditch Pitch. "Having trouble with homework?" he asked her quietly, wondering up towards her table.

H E Y mister!? W H E R E you headed! ?! ------------------------------------------------------------- She looked at the doodle on the piece of parchment some more, furrowing her eyebrows. Well, drawing wasn't a talent Elanora had, and that was for sure. You could clearly tell what it was, if you knew anything about quidditch, that was okay. But as she focused on the little person flying on the broom, the keeper, she smirked a bit. It's eyes were little black dots, and the mouth was a straight, curled up line. She chuckled a bit to herself, before drawing a mustache, one that was long and curled up at both ends. If she was going to be cliché, might as well go full force! Her eyes shifter to her book, then back to her drawing, and she let a soft sigh escape her mouth.
She noticed something move from the corner of her eyes, and she turned her head a bit, her wavy brown hair falling over her shoulder in thick locks. A pile of book? What the... She then saw the person walking infront of it, and knew it was the librarian. She smiled a bit, before raising a brow at a girl sitting a few tables down, who was looking at him with her head propped in the palm of her hand, a dreamy look to her eyes. She stared, but looked back down to her paper, a smirk on her lips.
Oh, she HAD heard people talk about the librarian. About how he was supposedly erm... Sexy, or something. But she, herself, had not noticed it, for she was often too caught up in her thought, or having an animated conversation about, YOU GUESSED IT, Quidditch. But, when she heard someone adress to her, she looked up to the person the voice belonged to. And she smirked a bit. Yeah, okay. So, he was a sexy librarian. AND, an alumni. She knew it, because she had seen him before he graduated. She couldn't tell you what house he had belonged to, what his name was, or anything like that, but she knew he was a student. Or had been one. And this had ot be a good sign, that after all those years of play-fighting with her sibling, her brain could still absorb AND retain some information...
'Having troubles with your homework?'
Oh yes, yes she was. "Yeah. It's not exactly the homework, though. It's more my darned concentration." she replied honestly, shaking her head a bit to herself, and looking to the drawing as if to prove herself she REALLY had a problem of a kind. She let a soft, quiet laugh escape her throat, looking back to the older man. 'Kinda figured the silence of the library would help me some... But I fail epicaly at potion, so." she said, shrugging her shoulder, a smug look on her face. YEAH. way to go. Smug looking? You fail anyways, Nora. * ------------------------------------------------------------- TAG OPEN WORD COUNT 4 7 5 LYRICS Hitchin' A Ride by Green Day. OUTFIT SCHOOL UNIFORM, FOOLZ! Post by JAYDEN THEODORE PIERRE on Nov 5, 2009 20:16:36 GMT
Jayden had spent the majority of his time at Hogwarts studying. He wasn't a Ravenclaw, far from it in fact, and although he'd always been incredibly focused on his schoolwork, he'd always spent a lot of time with his friends. Jay had never received as much attention from the opposite sex when he was in school, although he'd had his own share of relationships and one night stands. Jayden was, and always would be, a charmer. Girls would fall left, right and centre for the ex-Hufflepuff, and boy did he know it. Whilst he was in school Jay was known as the romantic of the Hufflepuff House, and he tended to love that title. He wasn't like most of the other boys his age (when he'd been sixteen) and that showed in the attention he received from girls. He knew how to treat woman and they respected that. A lot, he'd found out. Now, as a librarian, he received even more attention from the young girls, although he remained blissfully oblivious.
A soft smile graced Jayden's lips and he chucked quietly at her response. "I can see - is that a doodle of the Quidditch Pitch there?" he asked, an amused expression upon his face. It was obvious she found it hard to concentrate, especially as her parchment (he presumed the one she was going to write her homework on) had a nice little drawing of the Quidditch Pitch upon it. "It's good, by the way," he murmured after a few seconds thought. Usually Jayden only smiled politely at the students studying within the library, and he seldom spoke to them at all. Rarely he'd strike up a conversation or two with students he saw regularly, or students like the one in front of him who couldn't seem to be able to concentrate on their work. Jayden preferred to maintain the student-teacher relationship between himself and his students, and generally he kept that rule.
"Oh, what sort of Potions work is it?" he asked, general curiosity on his face. He paused, hesitating for a slip second before pulling out a chair at the table and sitting down beside her. "Do you mind?" he asked, a faint, sheepish smile on his lips. "I can help you, if you want," he continued. The books behind him made their presence known as they hit the back of his chair with a soft thud. They did that all the time, and boy did it get annoying. Sighing, and flashing an apologetic look in the girls direction, he waved his wand and the books went off on their own to sort themselves back on the shelves. "Bloody things," he muttered, rolling his eyes. Running a hand through his hair he turned back to the girl and smiled, "Jayden Pierre, your resident librarian." That sounded far cooler in his head.
